Shiny forums here. Love the new smell.
I’ve been lurking about the shop lately during the X-Wing and 40k tournaments, but have been really interested in getting started in Warmachine/Hordes. I know of other leagues in the San Diego area, but it would be great to have a Warmachine/Hordes demo day for folks to try the game out and see if they like it.
I don’t know the rules back-to-front, but I’d be willing to run some folks through a battlebox game if they’re interested.12/05/2013 at 5:33pm #19111
I agree! I just played a Journeyman league and it was tons of fun!
There is a Press Ganger that is sometimes there, his name is Jeff.01/04/2014 at 3:31pm #19191
Hello, a couple friends and I play Warmahordes at the lair for a while now and would like to have a other people to battle. Currently there are only three of us the moment that play, however another friend or two is going to start up pretty soon. So yeah I think a league would be fun! (Factions and points we have: Khador-54, Skorne-133, Cygnar-17, and Convergence-14. A friend might start with the Cryx battle box. Note this is without warcaster/warlock points nor the best build, only the amount that we have.)

Heya J, that’s awesome! I only have battle boxes myself (Cygnar and Cryx). I’m usually available to play early Saturday afternoons and Sundays. What days work for you guys?01/04/2014 at 6:02pm #19194
Just about the same, some of us might be able to go later in the evening but it varys. Weekends are great! Also the Skrone player and I are still relatively new to the game, though we have had many battles, it does not make us experts. Don’t worry though, we know the rules well enough to make sure the game runs smooth (Besides me forgetting some times to allocate focus).04/09/2014 at 5:57am #19261
Hey there. This is a fairly old thread, but is there a new league starting for Warmachine? I’d be interested. Total newbie here though. I’d like to learn. 🙂04/09/2014 at 9:25am #19262
Welcome back to my dusty, old thread Amie! I was just recently at the new Lair for Tabletop Day last weekend, and they’ve got an amazing space. My hope is that now that they’re all moved over to the much bigger space, we might be able to do more wargaming across the board.
How do you guys feel about an informal get-together at Villainous on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for some demo games? We’ll have to make sure that the space is available, and that it’s cool with the staff, but I don’t mind getting it set up as long as we get a critical mass of folks interested.04/09/2014 at 9:48am #19263
I’d be interested in a Warmachines/Horde get together. What time are you thinking?
Would you or anyone be available for a bit of a quick training/instruction session as well?
I’m still trying to figure out which faction I’m playing… But I’m currently reading the basic manual. Mercenaries sound interesting… 🙂04/16/2014 at 2:45am #19269
I haven’t played in years, but I’m eager to get back to it. I’ve got a decent number of cygnar, legion, and mercs.
